Certified Nursing Assistant 
Pre-requisite:
High School Diploma/GED
This program is an introduction to the profession of nursing and is designed to train health care professionals who will provide basic care to patients in hospitals, long term care facilities, private home care agencies or homes. Nursing Assistants work under the direction of other health care professionals, usually in nursing homes or hospitals. Their duties include taking the blood pressure, temperature and pulse of patients. They help patients get in and out of bed, take baths, and dress. They also serve meals and perform housekeeping chores like making beds and cleaning rooms. Nursing assistants observes the paitients physical, emotion, mental status, and report any changes to the medical staff. Nursing assistants that are employed in nursing homes are often the principal caregivers. They often have more contact with residents than other members of the staff. Since some residents occupy a nursing home for months or even years, nursing assistants often develop ongoing relationships with them. They respond in a positive and caring manner. Students in this program can opt to have an assigned mentor to encourage and help them during their training.

Patient Care Technician
Pre-requisite:
Certified Nursing Assistant
High School Diploma/GED
The PCT program is designed to give nursing assistants the opportunity to acquire advanced clinical skills. Such areas include: venipuncture, EKG, Wound Care, Catheterization, Recording of patient information, patient assessment and other related patient care tasks.

Duration:
12 Weeks Classroom
2   Weeks Internship

Phlebotomy Technician
Pre-requisite :
High School Diploma/GED
The phlebotomy program introduces students to the structure, function and pathology of blood. You learn demonstrate clinical practice of blood drawing techniques such as: finger stick, Venipuncture, color coding, charting and recording of patients results and other skills related to laboratory procedures.

4 Weeks Classroom
2 Weeks Internship


EKG Technician (EKG)
Pre-requisite:
High School Diploma/GED

This program is designed to give students a basic introduction to the 12-lead EKG. Students will gain knowledge of the basic medical terminology of the cardiovascular system, understanding the structure and function of the heart. Students will learn why EKG is performed and learn the preparation and placement of an EKG lead. Students will learn to identify common artifacts of an EKG and learn to operate equipment t o perform and EKG.

2 Weeks Internship
